It all begins with an idea (or too much time on Pinterest, if I’m honest). I LOVE board and batten walls…those with squares, those with uneven rectangles, those with designs, half walls, full walls, colored, white…doesn’t matter. I adore them!!!! Our staircase at the Oakland St. house was very tall and pretty grand, but also pretty bland. The white board and batten contrasts with the grey walls and carpet that surround it, and it perfectly sets off the beautiful windows in the stairwell. View this album to see how we did it…from hanging drywall to the finished product…nine separate trips up and down the super tall, super scary ladders, and here we are!
